The Kenai River Fly Fishing staff and guides do the very best they can to give you Excellent service and provide you with an experience well deserved by you.  While catching fish is the name of the game, becoming a better and more informed angler is equally important.  Come up and spend a day with one of our guides and we are sure you will agree.

Mike Welemin
Mike grew up fishing the small chalk streams of the Missouri Ozarks with his grandfather and cousins. At the age of nine, Mike's grandfather put a fly rod in his hands and he never looked back. In the summer of '04 Mike found himself in the mecca of sport fishing, the Kenai Peninsula. After countless hours of chasing Rainbow Trout, Dolly Varden and salmon, Mike fulfilled his lifelong dream of becoming a fishing guide. When Mike is not guiding, you are sure to find him on the Kenai with friends "test fishing".

Ben Sweeney
Raised in Massachusetts, Ben learned to fly fish on the rivers of the Northeast.  Vacationing in Alaska at a young age he fell in love with the state and vowed to return.  He has now been living in and fishing the state for six years and has resided in Cooper Landing for the past four.  Fishing seems to be his main concern in life and has been known to speak at length on the subject to anyone who will listen.
